Indications
1. The ideal interface when applying negative pressure wound therapy:
- as a protective layerfor large abdominal defects
- to protect vital structures:
- gastrointestinal tract
- heart (e.g. mediastenitis)
- tendons
- ligaments
- prostheses
2. Wound contact material:
If interface: SurfaSoft ® can be used as a protection for vulnerable wound surfaces and ensures an undisturbed wound healing without causing any adhesions to the wound bed or to the newly formed epithelium.
3. Transparent fixation material for mesh grafts (skin grafts):
SurfaSoft ® fixes mesh grafts, drains the wound, while bacteria can hardly attach to the material. When absorbent wound dressings are used in combination with SurfaSoft ®, they can be removed as often as desirable, in a painless way. Wound inspection through SurfaSoft ® is perfectly possible. SurfaSoft ® can remain in situ for several days. Hard to transplanting areas such as armpit, neck, head, back, etc. turn out, to score a “take rate” of almost 100%, thanks to SurfaSoft ®.

Benefits
Limits the ingrowth of granulation tissue in polyurethane foam. Does not cause any pain when removing PU-Foam.
